What options do I have?

I stay in a rented house with any telephone lines and it is in a new area...

I really want internet at home, but am not sure what my options are?

Take a look at Iburst... have become a bit of a fanboy.

look at the 1gig package and make sure you have Good coverage if you plan to play games otherwise it should suit your needs.

For most new user's I'd recommend getting Iburst if you're a light-ish user, 1-2GB, if you're planning on using alot, I'd say get a phone line installed, ADSL gets cheaper with high usage (compared to other packages)

What do you want 'the internet' for?

Games? Youtube? Email? Forums?

If you intend to stay there for a long time, ADSL is an option, but less than a year, and the costs are a bit much.

3G has signal just about everywhere, which makes them a great contender, but Neotel and iBurst are also worth a look if you've got good signal.
