When I switch my phone's wifi off, the app works dandy, but when it goes through the work network it is unable to connect.

So what port does the FNB app use ? It looks like my firewall blocks it. The firewall blocks everything unless you specifically allow access.

OK... This may be a very dumb question.
I changed sim cards on my TP Link 3G to WiFi router and now I cannot use my banking Apps over WiFi.
How do I fix this problem?

Sorry for the thread necro. But props to JVRS. Had the same problem on our Wifi since we locked it down a few weeks ago - didn't bother until about it until the big bods complained today! Solution still works. Google search brought this up at the first hit :)

Wonder why FNB uses a non-standard port though!

For Standard bankers, the Standard Bank app uses TCP destination port 8083 and 5223
Posted to save the peeps (who run outbound whitelist firewalls at home) the trouble of network sniffing and firewall log analysis.
