Hi,

I am looking at upgrading my racing wheel as my one pedal shift broke last night in a league race...lol

What racing wheel would you recommend?

The Logitech MOMO or the Logitech Driving Force GT?

I am not interested in a G25 OR G27 atm as I don't have the budget to fork out 2k + for that.
Looking at spending R1000 or less

Thanks in advance :)

You won't be able to get those for under R1000 either. The G27 is between 3-4k, not 2. Driving Gorce GT is R1300. It's a great wheel, I can really recommend it, especially with the 900 degree rotation. Don't know about the MOMO though, doesn't look to be available anymore.

Thanks for the feedback.

I am looking at buying them 2nd hand in good condition where the under R1000 is in fact viable :)

How is the FFB on the GT model? I had a cheap wheel set and it was horrid to the point that I turned it off.

It's great, although I had a Genius wheel before so anything would probably feel good. Slight dead zone in the middle, although I guess it's more like a real car.

I think there's a wirless set for less than a grand, not sure of the brand. Anyone knows if its any good ?

I did a bit of reading up last night and it seems like between the GT and the MOMO the GT is first choice.

Apparently the dead zone is next to none and on the lfs forums etc most agree that the GT is more precise.

Now it would be to find a decent one today still hopefully :D
If anyone can help please let me know, thanks!

I gave away a Momo the other day to a friend. He's using it it on his PS3 for GT5. I never knew a PC only wheel could actually work on a PS3.
I bought a G27 but also found out that the Driving Force GT is a similar but cheaper wheel. It actually has some better features than the G27 e.g. the brake bias adjustment knob on the wheel. Highly recommended.

Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated.

I did some reading up and the GT has a very good rating for the price class it is in, if not the best.

Hopefully is all goes well I will have a GT along with a playseat by this evening.
Someone was selling one at a very reasonable price.

G27 has much better pedals and a proper shifter though, definitely a league above the DFGT.

DFGT is a good wheel though. The extra movement range compared to the Momo will give you much more steering precision.
Although usually you wouldn't want 900 degrees. Setting it to 540 degrees works best for most games with GT/touring cars. 360 for F1 and fast open wheelers.

Got the DFGT last night along with a playseat.

I must say it is a large improvement from the cheapy wheel I had.

The wheel is very precise and the FFB is excellent!
