The rand was enjoying a gradual rebound in the last week - but this was reversed by Tuesday, after news of an unexpected and emergency bailout to Eskom hit the market.

Also Brexit took a breather for another X months so £ hasn't weakened as expected, global oil prices are up 2.5% and once more the spotlight is back on our useless bunch of Muppets.
