What should I flash a huawei e1550 with?

I have the USB 3G modem listed above and right now it has firmware from the Philippines on it, what would I do to flash it to Vodacom software... or something generic so I can use it?

The device's firmware and the dashboard installer that is on the virtual CD-ROM are totally separate. Is this modem network locked?

There doesn't seem to be a Mobile Partner dashboard available for the E1550at Huawei's site.

To stop the Filipino dashboard from starting when you plug it in, disable autorun or remove the device's drive letter. You should then be able to install the dashboard of your choice on your PC.

What do you mean onto it? I have seen some of the newer modems require an unlock code to change the dashboard installer stored on the virtual CD-ROM, but this shouldn't prevent you from installing Mobile Partner or VMC Full-Fat or MDMA on your computer.

As far as getting hold of an unlock code goes, you could try asking the Filipino network operator, alternatively, some of the unlocker boxes can generate the code for you.
