What should I get?

OK, I am more confused in regards to my choice, then ever before.

FYI, I live in Brooklyn, Cape Town. Iburst shows signal strength as "Poor", so my choice is becoming more difficult.

I guess 3g is the only way, I read Virgin is doing 50c a meg.

50c a meg? That sounds like an out-of-bundle charge and when going 3G you should absolutely never aim to go outside your bundle because all the costs are horrendous. Rather go for the cheapest package for the gigs you need.
