What surround system is best for HD pvr Sony lcd setup

Good Morning



I made a mistake once when I bought my LCD tv, but with the help of the forum I managed to exchange my Sinotec for a Sony 40inch V series.



Now I would like to add a surround sound system to my current setup, I looked at the Sony DAV-DZ290K, but what would you guys recommend ?



And how should I connect the tv, surround sound and the HD pvr decoder.

Connection: Run a HDMI cable form your PVR to the amp then one from the amp to your tv. This way you would be able to upscale some of the SD content still on IeeshTV. AQsuming u would also buy a blueray or at least DVD player you could also connect it to the amp or maybe directly tro your TV depending if you have extra inputs. The upscfaling function on your player should be better than that of the amp.

Equipment: Depends on your budget and taste. Sony amps are quite underated, but their speakers are generally crappy. If you like boomy sound look at Polk audio. If your more of an audiophile look at Kef, Jamo or my choice - Monitor Audio. At the end of the day the best option is to auditionvarious systems and select the one best to your taste. There are so many good manufacturers....Arcam (My choice), B&W, Marantz etc, but they are more to the middle to upper end.

I agree with Arcam4's comments...

I am also very impressed with my Monitor Audio speakers

You'll need to decide if you want traditional speakers or lifestyle speakers... I was totally ready to buy some lifestyle speakers (sub + satellites from B&W)... until I listened to some full size floorstanders! For music, they perform much better IMHO.
