Lately I've been having major issues with my line not syncronising at all most of the time (as in zero connection from Saturday until Thursday), and it's now intermittent... I was syncing perfectly stable at 7Mb/s until Saturday morning (since September) then had nothing until yesterday it came online at 5MB/s (annoyed at the speed drop but happy to have something at least), It stayed fine at 5MB/s even when restarting after load shedding this morning, then this evening it started to resynch every few minutes or seconds, jumping between 200Kb/s and 2.5Mb/s downstream speed
Right now it's sitting at 6Mb/s (first time seeing it above 2.5 so far) with the following sync stats (though I assume it's going to drop any moment again). SNR and Attenuation are staying roughly the same regardless of the different sync speeds
Downstream Upstream
SNR Margin 18.5 dB 15.0 dB
Line Attenuation 32.5 dB 23.5 dB
Connecting a phone to either port on the splitter results in a soft dial tone, loud static and what I can only describe as the sound of a robot having an argument with a jammed printer
