What to do / get for someone's 60th?

I'm really bad at birthdays presents and thought I'll turn to cyber space for advice.

It is my best friend (female) 60th birthday.

She is big on birthdays, fkn huge, you are not allowed to forget her birthday and I mean world war eight here. Kremlin against the white house that big. Global warming, ice caps melting in 15 days flat, the moon breaking orbit, Jesus comes again scenario.

Now that I've set the scene I really need some help here.

Bar overseas travel which I can't afford the moment I can only think of buying her a bottle of her favorite perfume. I really suck at choosing gifts.
 
Get in touch with her close friends and go do something fun.

Treat her to something you know she likes.

It shouldn't be about what you get her, but what experience you give her

@Akasha is right = I would say give her an experience. You know the things she likes to do - places she has been. Arrange to go somewhere she would like that she hasn't been. Make it special.
 
Which is exactly why Pretoria Zoo would be PERFECT for her, just make sure she has enough balls to play with on the day as it's gonna be a big event :giggle:

OK stop it now you lot lol. You have no idea what big **** I'm i. My first idea was silver jewelry she just loves. No i got an even better idea which is a leather handbag. I'm a guy for crying out loud. Where do i get a leather handbag from amd how do i know if she would like it. Is there a place in Johannesburg that makes good leather handbags so i can just get a gift voucher and walk away?
 
Get a personalized gift like dressing gown tshirt cake with her name, photo canvas. Most girls love seeing their name or picture

Just get a Santon voucher (or whatever fancy mall is near you) - go to a handbag shop - look around - get an average price and go and get a voucher for that amount.
 
If you want to spend R2000 a GHD hair straighter might go down well.
