What to do if a traffic cop asks for a bribe

We need a “what to do if a politician asks for a bribe” article as well.
 
Ask for a receipt, then you can add those up and submit on your tax return as "donations"
 
I was asked for a bribe in December. If I did not personally take charge, the police would have done nothing, not even registered the case. I reported within 2 hours, filed my statement which I wrote myself. To this day I cannot get the poohlice to take the witness statements. I have already elevated the matter to the provincial head of the poohlice. Still nothing. So, learn that the article is only theoretical in nature. Reporting the matter to the police does mean zip.
 
I was pulled over Friday by SAPS, seems they just randomly setup outside our town, not even a real roadblock. They checked my drivers licence after returning it they wanted to search my boot. To which I replied "No" ...

Several of them got all rowdy, answer still remained a "no", I don't trust the police they unprofessional which makes it easy for criminals to imitate them.
