What to do when you keep getting unwanted phone calls

Spam calls, whether they are from legitimate companies or scammers, have become an occupational hazard of owning a cellphone.

Unsolicited phone calls are on the rise around the world and are especially common in large developing markets like Brazil, India, and South Africa.

Android 'Should I Answer?' shows it is spam, then I answer but stay silent, soon they realise it is a waste and stop calling me:

"Hello"

"Hi there sir"

"Hello"

"Can I please speak to RV?"

"Hello?"

........

:laugh::laugh::laugh:

I use Google Dialler, it highlights spam calls and you can mark numbers as spam so they go straight to the ether.

Why don't they all just f off and die.

If I need to buy something I can do it all on my own.

There really needs to be a way to inflict pain on these companies.

I have the Google Dialer on my android, blocks anything it sees as spam, I will not be bothered!

The Direct Marketing Association is a scam on its own .

They make it very difficult to block details properly as they are part of the same problem.

I have been trying for years to get DMASA members to respect the list.

Still leads to a reduction in calls.
