What to do with a water damaged iPhone 4S?

Hi guys,

I got given an iPhone 4S which was submerged in water to try and revive for data recovery (they didn't use iCloud or any cloud backup storage for that matter). Opened up the device and put it in a sealed container of uncooked rice for a week, put it back together, put it on charge and it just vibrated in pulses every 10 seconds, didn't end up ever switching on. Is there anything I can do to try and fix it? I can't see any visible corrosion on the internals. If I can't fix it, I'm open to suggestions for DIY projects or anything like that I can do with it. Seems like such a waste to throw it in the bin
 
Take it to ones of those asian/pakistani repair shops, they'll fix it for like R500-600. Tell them not to erase any data or reset the device.

Don't worry, they usually back up all the data for personal consumption like every other technician does.
 
place up at northdate called gmobile, used them before, they good!
