What to do with my Ford Ka

I have a Fordka 2006 Trend, it has slight body damage (2 dents) and several minor issues under the hood (broken seals, coolant bottle leaking, drive shaft seals/ gasket)

I am trying to decide which is best financial sense, selling (For around 25k) adding in another 20k and buying a little fiesta or some such car or fixing for 7kish and driving it.

I just don't know how I feel about throwing 7k into something with a book value of 17k
 
Will you look after another car in the same way you have looked after the Ka?

Secondly as Kix said the Ka probably has plenty of life in it. Get the leaks fixed up for a lot less than the R10,000 you're willing to spend and suck it up until you can afford a decent upgrade. Remember that you know the history of the Ka, whereas anything else for R35,000 is a complete unknown, and for the most part you'll end up with something quite knackered for sub-R40,000 in any event.

I don't love the Ka. Check out the market and see what you can get for your R45k. If you know cars, see if they are decent. Otherwise, ask for help!

Depending on the outcome, decide if you'd rather live with the Ka or what you can find out there. Take into consideration that your 7k here will probably be spent on the new car on issues you never saw

There’s no way we’re all getting through there at race speed, that’s for sure.

Suddenly the RaceKa seems like a no-brainer: affordable and abundant, fun to chuck through corners like it might not emerge from the other side, mechanically tough and with huge bumpers for the inevitable thumps here and there. Everything that made the Ka a hit on its launch translates perfectly to the EnduroKa series.
