What to do with R 50 000?

Hi guys, so after fighting the battle with Alopecia for the last year, despite being stubborn and adamant, I may be losing that fight. Saw a few specialists 15 months ago, took Finasteride for 12 months, got no side effects except for one, pretty rare, but pretty significant side effect: Gynocemastia. Luckily it's very slight, but obviously I can't keep taking that ****.

So a proper FUE hair transplant is R 50 000 for 1700 grafts, and because I can't take finasteride I might need another in 5 years time.

So, I have the money, but I can't help but think, R 50 000? Surely there has to be a better way to spend my money. R 50k is a deposit on a new car.

50k is a set of veneers or a year of studying or a home gym or idfk.

Or should I use that R 50k and try to invest it? I'm a bit hesitant to invest such a large amount into the crypto market atm.

What would y'all do?
 
Shave everything off, buy return ticket to Moscow, and tour Russia.

You come back with memories, and people would get use to you having no hair.

You get 15% more value for your money.

1. Shave your hair off. Lots of chicks dig the bald look.
2. Take half and go on a nice holiday to a place you've always wanted to go to. It sounds like you've been through a bit of a rollercoaster with this whole thing and some time away could do you well.
3. Invest the other half. It's difficult to tell you in what without knowing what your current financial situation is like but personally I'd go for ETFs and a high-interest savigns account. Go to justonelap.com to learn about ETFs. Put a little bit in crypto and see what happens. Crypto is far too volatile and unpredictable to recommend as a proper investment, it might shoot up and you get lucky or it might continue on its current downward trend and you lose, so just put a grand or two in at most.

Real men go bald. Get yourself a good quality wahl and be thankful for the cash you will save on future haircuts. Fighting with nature is a losing battle.
Just keep it short or shave. Skinheads rule!
 
It depends and it is a tough decision. If hair means that much to you then do it. Personally minoxidil is working for me . But wow I would rather use that money on travelling.
