hi guys

these are my pc specs,

E6750,intel JHB MB,2gig 800,250gb SATA + 500gb,9600gt

i was wondering would it be of any use to add another 2gig or RAM to my setup, just want it that little bit quicker, im running xp 32bit by the way, any ideas???

Xp won't use more than 2 gig memory, i would imagine only games might push it over the 2 gig mark.

Memory is so cheap though, just add the other 2 gig but only like 1.25gig will be seen.

Only 64 Bit OS's can handle like more than 3.25Gigs of ram as far as i am aware

yes i know that 32bit can only see 3.25gig ram or so, but would it help my pc to add another 1gig to take it to 3 gig??? would i see any difference??

Thanks

system seems fine, but if you want some extra speed why not oc your cpu a bit. i know those e6750's can clock quite a bit but not too sure on your motherboard though as Intels don't really do OC but are very stable boards

i dont want to overclock it, not keen on that at all and my mb cant overclock,

You cant overclock genuine Intel boards, they simply dont have the options in the BIOS.
There is nothing wrong with a lottle overclock, stability never suffers and its a quick injection of speed.
You can bump up the ram to 4GB, I wouldnt bother with 3GB as you will lose the dual channel functionality.
