Fish are stupid, they just keep eating.

16 Sports sub editor for the Sunday Times, had to basically do all the pre editing before it went to the main editors. We would get the pages laid out for us to try snap stories in. Make sure headings were right size, ad space. This was only every second Saturday from 12 to 9pm before first edition went out. Made about a grand a day in 1997. Learnt about tax and how to claim back
I also worked at Spur for 3 months on the Friday nights to get a bit extra, most of the time also done around 10pm.
At 17 I got a job running the front of a Burger/Chicken Perfect for R200 a day on a Sunday. It was easy work. During college I would work there on days I didn't need to be in class.
Then after graduating and starting my first real job in 2002 I kept all three for another year until burnout.
Did manage to buy my second car around 70% cash. Also upgraded my PC a lot over that time period, had a big TV, decent sound, dvd player and and. But I burnt out

Oh , also worked at pizza place in the evenings. But only every second night.
Was quite a walk back home at midnight.
Not advisable for current epoch.

Worked for an oyster farming operation. I would have to dive under jetties collecting the baskets full of mature oysters and replace them with baskets full of young oysters. It was at that time that I realized that I hate freaken oysters

Helped out a buddy a bit to deliver newspapers (Die Beeld) - we took turns. It was probably his first job but he made it mine. Likely because it was so blistering cold in the mornings before school that he decided he didn't want to do it but couldn't just give it up.

EDIT: Actually, I think before that we washed teachers' cars in primary school.

Delivered newspapers (beeld) when I was 12 - 14. Started out with 50 customers at the end had 127. Was upset when dad got transferred to another town and I had to give that up. Lots of early mornings. cold days did not mind so much it was the rain I despised since that meant had to put the newspaper in a bags before delivery and that took time.

Worked as an assistant in a hardware store on Saturday mornings while I was in high school, helping customers find things and filling up gas bottles and mundane tasks like that

While in high school I was a casual at U-save and Discom.
After high school a payroll administrator at a small payroll business.
