Well 2.3 patch notes are out and looks like WOTLK might be closer than we think (im suspecting its gonna be in time for Christmas stockings ) :)

Now its already known that DKs will be Tank/DPS class.
Now my question ...
What will your DK be ?
A) Tank
B) DPS
C) PVP

For me :D

Got enough DPS classes.

sry its off topic for this thread
but i cant help feel TBC hasnt been out long enuff

When WOTLK is released all the sexy raid content will become void , like Naxx is right now.
I vote for the release Q2 2008 :p

I didnt enjoy BC that much.
The dungeons are to colorful.
I prefer a diablo type feel to darker dungeons... Like LBRS UBRS MC etc.
I mean there is no way that a freakin evil mob is gonna keep the places spotless and squiky clean like tempest keep dungeons etc. Dungeons are supposed to scare you with the atmosphere it creates not make your girlfriend jealous on the tidyness :P

TBC sucks tbh.

I like outlands but the whole Raid etc. thingy part of it sucks. It killed the original wow :(

Well from what ive heard , a lot of people prefered old raids. It was more about fun as if you had one or two people new in the guild the 38 could help carry these guys through raids to get updated up to the neccesary Gear needed.
That made new guys catch up much easier to the rest of the group gear wise.
Now in BC the raids are so strick with only 25 people that 90% of the time its your own worry to catch up to the guys cause the propper geared guys dont wanna run dungeon over and over again where they dont get anything except a repair bill to get the under-geared guys geared properly to continue progression with rest of the guys.
Because the groups shrinked , the PUG raids have also become something that simply doesnt happen a lot anymore compared to Pre- BC.
Wow was taken away from the casual , semi serious guys and only dedicated to hardcore players.

Thats why the guild dramas have increased 10x in BC compared to pre-BC.

Agree 100 %

Pre TBC most guilds could not muster 40 people to go raiding and most people never even got to raid anything as the best they could do was maby get into the 20 man one's.

With the 10 man dungeons in TBC people could gear up quicker so that they could go raiding the more "difficult" dungeons. This way more people could obtain the purples and it makes more people happier (pays to play longer)

It is way harder to manage 40 people than it is to manage 25/10.

I also found that in 40 man raids there were alot of people that were not carrying their weight and just haning around to loot the boss. In 25/10 man raids people need to make sure they well geared, have pots/food and play properly.

I personally love the 10 and 25 man instances.

I realy doubt we will see WotLK before June next year. 2.3 should be implemented in November at the earliest, so do the math.

Then after that Blizzard will also be patching http://www.wowwiki.com/Sunwell_Plateau into the game. 1 X 25man raid and 1 X 5man instance, and as far as I can see that will happen before the next expansion.

Not to mention that it doesn't look like S3 arena will hit with 2.3.

Mt. Hyjal & Black Temple here I come :)

Yeah i see your view.
I think however that if its not released for holidays , we probably wont see it for another year.
Knowing marketers they will go for holiday season release as far as possible.
That means we will only see it next december.

Not neccessarily TB was released after the Christmas period this year, they may have been aiming for a pre-christmas launch cant remember off hand.

I think with the additional 10 man raid in 2.3 which looks quite interesting btw, we will only see expansion next year some time.

It is sad to go back to the old raid spots and see them deserted, and outland will become the same within weeks on the next expansion. Lv 73 greens thats kick your hard earned epic in the teeth....ah well it could be lv 100 in a few years time can you imagine xp needed for next lv - 1 billion, try lv from 1 then!

why do you think i stopped playing!

All the new items in TBC will be void ONCE again and will not stop there, blizz will release more expansion so forth.

Sometimes i cant help but feel sorry for people who are constantly play the game to get the best gear, It means jack pooh when the next expansion comes out,All that time and effort wasted.

IMO blizzard should of re-done all the old content from WOW like MC , NAXX and BWL, they should of never got rid of the old 40 man raids and added the new 25, 10 man instances along side the old re-done 40 instances.

the only reason why im going to play WOTLK is so i can see what the new DK class is like, but thats were it will end for me.

proper class specialization would be nice and actual joining of a faction like ravenholt (i think its called) over than just another 10 extra levels, more items, more quests and same old grinding....

If not for the release of TBC I would have stopped playing. What was left after completing naxx got exalted with all factions and running around in top pvp gear? TBC should have been released a lot sooner imho :D

I for one is looking forward to the new expancion, new instances and some new storyline. New class to play! Hell I have kept a char slot open and is collecting gear already :D
Finaly a "paladin" dps version :D

The game is getting more appealing to the masses, not the continious grinding and raiding but some things different to do and look forward too.

I am looking forward to the next expansion. granted i still need to get me some epic gear :) and make lvl 70... but I will definatly be gearing up on spare stuff now for my Death knight... :D all hail the dark powers!!!
