What would you choose

I have a choice between the Toyota Rav4 and the Toyota Hilux . which would you choose? I don't have a preference as yet and I have always driven smaller Toyota cars like the runx, corolla and Yaris

I'd go with a bakkie, not a huge fan of SUVs. Double cab?
Bit more versatile the Hilux.

Compare insurance premiums for both (afaik - the Bakkie will have a higher premium as it is a hot item for hijackings and theft)
Check your installments and payments
Check how big your parking is

Test was done by a SA car magazine and it passes with flying colours with higher speeds tested

With either one it'll be a good investment as far as vehicles go.
The Hills with a good canopy would be the same as the Rav4.
I'd go for the Hilux but as mentioned it is a desirable theft/hijack vehicle. Just make sure you have a good tracking system in, incase they have a victim in if taken.

My opinion would be the new Everest 2.2 anyhow.

I agree,in fact the bigger alternative to the Rav4 if you don't actually need a bakkie is the Fortuner.
