What's a good joystick?

It seems like Logitech is what everyone recommends but all the reviews I've read say they only last about 6 months max and then the calibration goes. Has anybody here had any experiences with Logitech (good or bad) and what would you recommend?

(I want this joystick for flight sims - MS Flight Sim 2004 and Combat Flight Sim. The joystick must have a z-axis and a hat switch, force feedback not required.)

I tried out the wingman... it sucked completely... but then bf2 does not have support for force feedback.

I think the logitech 3d pro is about the best by and comes without force feedback gheiness.

If you by the 3d pro, let me know, ill trade you the logitech wingman with force feedback.

I have the logitech Force 3D Pro and can honestly say that the force feedback is not worth it. It is a nice stick but the only reason I got it was because microsoft stopped supporting the Sidewinder 3D Pro sticks(the first ones) Was an awesome joystick but now I cant use it

The Force 3D pro is cool but if I had to buy again I would drop the force feedback.

How long have you had yours Angellus. And have you had any calibration problems?

I'm thinking a nice joystick to get would be the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro. It's basically the same as the Force 3D Pro but without the force feedback and half the price (R230 from Light Edge).

I have had it for a little while now and have had no problems with it. Cept that the force feedback is a bit underwhelming and if you turn it up the thing doesnt center it kind of oscillates randomly. Other than that its an awesome joystick. so the Extreme 3D Pro would be great as well.

They didnt have the Extreme 3D Pro where I got mine. I think the only place where force feedback really works well is on wheels.

LOL I dont fly with the joystick I use the mouse
