What is TORSION BUSH?
Rubber spring comprising a cylinder of rubber enclosing a shaft and enclosed by a steel cover, for resisting torsion, tilt etc. Commonly used for flexible couplings.
No idea what it goes for though.

It's a bush that allows a torsion bar to rotate in. They're usually made of nylon, a hard plastic or rubber.
Torsion bars are used for primary suspension (usually rear) as well as stabiliser bars (front).
I'm not familiar with the Quantum suspension setup though.

They usually come as kits from my experience, two rubber bushes & cup washers per side. AFAIK left & right are interchangeable but I don't know the Quantum setup.

I had one car fail due to the interior door handle on the front passenger door not working

She replied now saying she went to Midas and paid R55 (whether its for one or a set remains to be seen).
I'm hoping she missed a zero at the end because this is much cheaper than what you guys suggested :wtf:

Thanks Mick. I went out and bought it from Protea Toyota. Price was R355 for the set.

Last year the guy stopped after just getting under the vehicle and told me I need to replace the left wheel bearing and told me to leave and come back when I' had it fixed. He only looked at that wheel, nothing else.
When I returned after I had the bearing replaced, they just handed me my RWC and told me to GTFO. I was like WTF I had this fscking van valeted and cleaned thoroughly

If you think they're being harsh just go back 30 years.
In the Apartheid era my dad had a vehicle which failed the road worthy because there was a cigarette burn mark on the one seat.
Apparently a cigarette burn mark can cause the wheels to fall off at high speed.
