Whats CRC error and Errored Seconds?

what do these terms mean when regarding sync speed?

hi, what does CRC Errors and Errored Seconds mean when looking at my line sync?

This is my result:

The CRC Errors and Errored Seconds were both at 3 yesterday, now look at them.. what must i do to sort them out?

I had this problem on my 192 line when the 192 to 384 upgrade was taking place. Contacted Telkom about it, logged an error report. About a week after noticing the problem for the first time, the router just reset and then it was gone. 2 weeks later Telkom call me asking about the fault I had reported... 3 weeks earlier.

Mind you, I was getting like 5 CRC errors every 2 seconds.

So give Telkom a call and log the fault, but don't expect them to jump on it right away. Problem, in theory, will sort itself out.

When you noticed they were at three yesterday had you been converted to the new sync speed or were you still on 1024? AFAIK the higher the speed the more errors are likely to occur.
 
I was on 4096k when it started giving me errors, is there anything i can do?
 
CRC Error

CRC error = Cyclic redundancy check error - i.e. every now and then the system is corrupting data probly cos of line abnormalities. In your case it's 29 errors / errored seconds which (depending on how long it's been connected) should be absolutely minimal - not to worry...
now if it had been connected for 29 seconds in total :D

As for that pathetic upload speed....

Run a speed test on telkom's site - then try one of the international speed tests and please post results! :)
