Decided not to make breakfast. Went to news cafe. They didn't care about me at all. So I went next door.

Croque Meneer. It's my own version of a croque monsieur with cheddar, bacon, mushroom and tomatoes.

That was so good. I'll post the recipe here.

Ingredients:
Loaf of good quality bread, sliced.
2 tbsp flour
1/2 cup milk or so
Plenty of cheddar. Take about 150g and grate it, and slice the rest enough for say 2 slices per sandwich.
Bacon, enough for 2 pieces per sandwich.
Mustard
2 tbsp butter
Mushrooms
Tomatoes

Instructions:
Arrange slices of bread on tray and place in grill for a few minutes, turning over each piece once.
Butter slices and spread mustard on one side of a sandwich.
In pan, fry bacon/mushrooms, and add them with the tomatoes and sliced cheese to the bread. Make sandwiches and put them into baking dish.
- While all this is happening, in another pan melt the 2tbsp butter over a medium heat.
When melted, add 1tbsp flour and whisk thoroughly. Add second tbsp flour and whisk again till melted together. Add half the milk and whisk quickly. Add the second half of the milk and continue whisking. If necessary add more milk to get the texture you want. (Add some black pepper and turmeric).
Add grated cheese and continue whisking till the sauce is ready.
Pour sauce over sandwiches.
Grill for another 5 minutes.
