What is that magnificent piece of unhealthy deliciousness?
 
It's about 14 lines down.. but again.. lots of cultural differences can be found from one village to the next.. what my ancestors called 'fulka', others might have called something else.. all I know is that I (as well as every other gujji person in Cape Town), grew up calling this particular fried item "fulka" :)

True enough. I think there's a million names for roti alone :D

Anyways I checked out the webpage and those are actually chicken fritters made with chicken sausages. No Gujji is going to be touching those :p
 
my bro just got back from India, and one of his best experiences was going to a restaurant for a curry, and having a waiter manning a roti station right next to the table.. basically watching him and as soon as he was done with a roti, a piping hot fresh one would be delivered to his plate.. nothing beats a freshly made roti (with lots of ghee) :)

The problem with that is you'd go through a pile of roti's in no time at all. They literally melt in your mouth when they fresh of the tawa.
