What's for supper?

Naah. Do feel like throwing it against the wall though. Just to vent.

Horrendous. Sorry to say. The problem is they don't indicate actual measurements. They suggest one small head of cauliflower. Which can vary a hell of a lot. My "dough" was far too wet and it just didn't make it workable. Tasted okay. But not a pizza base...

But why did you decide to try this in the first place?

I know cauliflower. I make a lovely soup with it. But I can't imagine (maybe that's where your culinary - and business - sense is better than mine) it being in a pizza base.

I'm not keen on cauliflower in my pizza.

Maybe cos it's in the base and all mashed up with the dough it'll be Ok. Is there a wheat dough?

I tried it as well (saw your post in that Ketosis thread and went on a Google spree. I've used cauliflower for shepherds pie before so was amped to give it a go).

My measurements were off and the dough resulted in a smaller (and maybe thinner) base than I would've liked. But, i added mozzarella and an egg with some garlic and herb spice, baked it for a bit, added toppings and baked it some more.

The underside of the base was a bit wet (even with all that twisting the water out with the dish cloth) but it dried out. Maybe I got lucky on the first time but it was pretty good and didn't break apart in my hand. Taste wasn't too bad either.

Still prefer regular pizza though :p

Roasted lamb chops with roasted veg and a rosemary sauce.

Strawberry pie and cream for dessert.

Spaghetti & chicken veg sauce. Turned out really well.

Somewhat perplexed at the sweet taste though. Aside from a bit of chutney there is nothing sugary in it. I did add more milk & a bit of windhoek to it though...maybe its that.

So what all is in it?

So what all is in it?
Chicken, olive oil, soy sauce, windhoek, butter, mayonnaise, garden peas, paprika, onion, tomato paste, chutney, milk

Garlic, origanum, parsley, sweet basil, salt, pepper, paprika powder, tumeric & curry

I highlighted the possible culprits...:D
Interesting.

Its definitely not the garden peas, onion or tomato paste. I've used those many times before in a similar mix & never got a sweet taste.

I'm still thinking windhoek / milk...barring some unusually interaction its the only thing I did differently this time. I'll definitely try replicating it though while paying more attention next time. Sweet tasting recipe without actual sugars seems like a mighty useful trick to have up ones sleeve. :D

Best salty roast potato flavoured onions I've ever had though :D
Less embarrassing than mine...burned my spaghetti. Pot was too small...not enough water:spaghetti ratio. That on induction stove...eish.
