I avoid junk food, like the plague.

Whole chicken on high heat to get the fat off, Remove said chicken and cook/fry your butternut/carrots/potatoes in ensuant fat, then place the bird on top to heat and ultimately cook through.

Peri-peri makes for a good touch.

Hamburgers with ostrich patties.
It was terrible. They taste OK, but the texture of the meat was too rough with too much hard, unknown chunks.

Won't make again.

No. The texture was just wrong. It was sinewy. It gave me the impression of cheap, off-cut meat used in it.

Some people just don't like it Ostrich steak tastes ummm ok for me but I think if you hate the burger you will hate that

I love ostrich steak, but I'll rather stay away from the burgers and probably the sausages as well

I tried tripe at my friends house. Tasted like stew meat with the texture of swallowing a mushroom. The texture wanted me to throw up

How was it prepared? I know of three ways.

1. just boiled with salt pepper and maybe herbs and spices. The traditional African way.
2. Like a Indian curry with potatoes
3. Just braised dry with masala and potatoes
