MrsC made a chicken pie. Came out beautifully.

Pardon my critique (I only do so to help), but it looks as if the pastry might have wilted slightly before cooking. Either the pastry wasn't cool enough when it was rolled on or the filling was hot when the pastry went on. Pastry is hell to work with though - still looks delicious...

I suspect that the filling was hot when the pastry went on so you're probably right about that. Thanks.

Tried something else tonight.

I fried mushrooms with garlic and chilli, then wrapped them in spinach with plenty of cheddar cheese. Also made two with cream cheese. In the oven for about 7 minutes. Done.

It was delicious. Doesn't look that great but here are some pics. Top before they go into the oven and bottom plated with one cut open to let the cheese ooze out.

Actually looks really delicious. I'd like to try folding them airtight, popping them in some batter and deep-frying them for a minute or two as well...

Boesmanland Beef Droëwors + a Black Cat peanut butter sandwich (fresh Blue Ribbon Classic white bread).

Unreal tasty!

That sounds like a great idea. Might try it next time. And I might add bacon as well.

Yeah the wrapping was a bit challenging as you can see by my first pic. I just took two pieces and folded them across each other. Like a plus sign and folded them in and over each other. (If that makes sense?)

They are actually quite brittle like this. I put one in the micro for 5 seconds but it already started shrinking. So I just continued with them all fresh.

Look, spinach is not the best looking food but it is delicious.

Halaal cheese griller from woollies. Actually quite good.

I baked some wheat free gluten free whatever free bread. Sliced and tried to toast but they refused to brown.

We got some omelets (filled with cheese, mushrooms, bacon and tomato) done before ours went KWAAA!!

Must say that spinach idea looks and sounds yummy. Will have to try it. How spinach did you use in wrapping it?

made an awesome salad with cheesegrillers and had a lc pita with it .......

I used about half of a 300gr pack of spinach. Some of them broke when folding so I had to redo some.

I am not a fan of canned food such as those tuna/pilchard stuff. I would have Peanut butter but i cant make coffee. Sigh
I dont really eat cereal but these things are good! It has a chocolate filled centre.

I often eat pronutro or Weetbix for supper if the missus goes out.

Chocolate cereal is always a winner in the morning for me. Chocolate milk ftw!
