So you know exactly what are in those tubs of oil?

Well number 1, it's not oil, or you'd end up with half the population suffering from botulism poisoning.

An two, garlic is incredibly cheap, and yes, they use garlic in those tubs. Not in oil though...

IIRC, the only ingredient (contains) in those is garlic.

Sometimes water and salt, but yeah, there's no real need for anything else.

Never buy garlic in oil though, for reasons I already posted. Nor should you store your own garlic oil - use immediately and discard the rest...

Just wait ...

I'll get my source in order.

The one thing I've noticed is that none of you have got any real evidence to counter my claim, other than your learned intuition ... which is derogatory at best ... most of the times.

Funny how, you are really insulting (personally) even when you don't present a shred of proof to counter my claim.

Real low-class forum-like ... you lot.

Could you maybe squeeze one more thing in there and notice my question re. the milk stout? :p

You do realise you haven't claimed what it is, right? Only what it isn't.

On a scale of 1 to Toronto Mayor, how pissed are you?

You are the one making the claim. The onus is on you to provide evidence to back up your claim, not the other way around.

Who is being insulting and derogatory?

It's a ****ing Thursday evening.

Common sense says that the **** they sell in tubs are not the real thing. Proof are to follow.

I wasn't being insulting and derogatory in the first place.

For heaven's sake my broe ... that's not the stuff they sell at Pick 'n Pay in a plastic tub.

Their's is much worse.

The citric acid might help fight botulism to an extent, but I'd still steer clear of any garlic stored in oil, or any oils infused with garlic...

It is. It really is, Picard. It's garlic.

If not, then you will have one helluva case at the ASA against them, as well as possible legal claims against them...
