It is. It really is, Picard. It's garlic.

If not, then you will have one helluva case at the ASA against them, as well as possible legal claims against them...

For argument's sake ... for a moment ... let's say you are correct. What the **** are in those tubs?

That is garlic stored in oil.

Fresh garlic and oil are a dangerous combination if left at room temperature.

Because of garlic’s low acidity and oil’s lack of oxygen, they can cause botulism toxin to develop. However, peeled cloves of garlic can be added to oil and stored in the freezer for several months.

Commercially prepared garlic in oil contains a preservative to increase the acidity of the mixture and keep it safe. To make garlic-flavored oil at home, add dehydrated garlic to olive oil in a wide mouth jar, screw on the lid, and place the jar in the refrigerator. If the olive oil turns solid, just spoon it out. Be careful, however, to always use a dry spoon.

Those available at PnP and Woolworths is plain garlic (chopped/crushed) in tubs or other containers. Those stored in oil is more a kitchen niche.

They take a clove of garlic, and they crush it into small pieces, then they put it.......ah forget it.

You mofos should not use garlic - be considerate towards your work colleagues!

im thinking the garlic tubs are mixed with something

I can finish that small bowls at resturants on a pizza and still not so much garlic taste

even the parmesan at resturants ...how can they give you so much

i always finish my bowl of parmesan and garlic

that steak you had ksingh looked like mushroom soup on a plate ...

Agreed. But it tasted really good. 4 ppl ordered it expecting something else. Was very surprised when it arrived. Was a birthday function so we decided to try it at least before complaining.

What's with the chips thrown on like that - they look so out of place. Is that how it's served?

I don't do those platter special meals. The presentation is always so sloppy and the flavours mix. To me that just looks like a bowl of dogfood, even though the taste is probably good.
