I've been to a hockey day at Mikro Primary School in Cape Town and they sold plain Spur Burgers for R20 (or something) in a plain wrapper.

Not that I'm complaining ... It was delicious.

Oh. No paid full price. Portion of sales go to school fund.

Last night had "Steak en velle" (that's what my family calls it) with chips. It's basically tenderised steak that has been given a flour covering, almost like KFC.

It's kinda crap, if anyone was wondering.

Have you tried heavens kitchen or suriyan? You'll ask for potato!

You see, the only way I like my potato is with lots of butter. Make wedges in oil like chips, but eat each bite with lots of butter. Yes I will probably die next year, but I've been eating it like that all my life and love it.

Or my wife makes a killer garlic potato dish, garlic potatoes. I have posted it here with my last awesome steak
