Tonight .. not much.
But tomorrow night I'm going to make an epic potjie.
I'm serious. I can't make a "fruitata". I also can't make a "sooofley". I also can't make a fish "pateé" ....
But I can make an ****ing awesome potjie.
Dark beer, red wine, strong stock, luscious meat, and of course thoroughly cooked vegetables ... that's they key to making a good potjie.
I would enter into mortal combat with anyone that differs from me.

Only had a potjie once...and in England at that. Go figure. Was a great experience though - had 4 on the go with a load of people and a dj spinning beats outside, people kept adding wine and beer to the pots...we ate late at night and again at 4am and again for breakfast. Would dig to do it again.

Nice enjoy. I also do mine at 20 minutes. Baking is so much better than grilling them - it all gets heated properly all the way through and the tomatoes and stuff get a chance to cook a little bit. Mine usually end up a bit like a pizza with a nacho baseBaked for 20 mins ... so yummy. Would have taken another pic but was starving
. Gah so in the mood for nachos now but gonna make some chips in the oven with smoked paprika. *Off to chop potatoes*.

Went to watch the sharks play earlier and there was suppose to be a braai later today but due to a pet death it's no more so those lamb chops I brought will just have to go into the oven pretty soon as I'm starving.
Have to agree, when it turns white like that you have basically screwed it up. Tuna steaks takes you measure in seconds.
