Ons gaan nou braai

Only English people braai on a Sunday evening.

Afrikaans people braai on a Friday or/and a Saturday evening so that we can be fresh and ready for work on a Monday morning.
Of course English people can rationalise their choice and say that they don't drink enough to still be affected on a Monday morning ... but I say BS.

Tell that to my dutchman neighbour...

Unfortunately MFs, this is all that is left of last night ... the rest is in an ice cream tub in my fridge.

For in case you are unsure ... this is a platboom potjie.

And also the bottle of brandy you see in the background is half-way empty. ... But that is the second one for the night ... between 2 guys.

Salad made from whatever is in the house. Had some bacon & cheese left so pretty decent...as far as sundry mix salads go

SO made spicy chicken wings, pork chops, potato wedges, spinach and feta pie and some veg , baby carrots pumpkin and peas.

roast lamb with grilled veggies

my roasting of lamb is a whole lot better than my attempt at "toad-in-the-hole" which turned out looking like frogs-in-a-puddle !
