My sentech contract is ending feb:D:D and im thinking of getting adsl,But i want to know whats the best combination i should get..eg: 128k 3g but take note im a heavy down loader and i hate slow speeds:sick:.
It would also be help full if you could point out the best isp.

I'd suggest going for the smallest 384k WebAfrica Complete package available and then buying lots of top-up gigs from webafrica (Very fast&painless). The top-up gigs never expire and cost the same as the normal ones (R70 per gig/R18 per local gig).

If the speed is stressing you you can always upgrade later without too much stress.:) On a 384k line you should be able to d/l at 40KB/s except maybe on torrents.

There is also a option to pay in an extra R200 at the start and then you get schweet wireless router instead of the vanilla one(Assuming 24-month contract).

ETA: Webafrica adsl complete link

I just wanted to mention Zazu.co.za they have good prices similar to cybersmart exept for the oneprice accounts. 1 tip. Its in most cases cheaper to take the adsl line with telkom and a account with another isp. In some cases oneprice account give you a free router but beware and make sure you know that it is NOT a branded router as they have limited functions.

SAIX is much better for international, if you're looking at local IS is cheaper and they perform about the same.

Most of the uncapped accounts have limits on them though, eg the cheapest 384 uncapped from Openweb (on IS) is R999 and only allows 15GB per month. You could buy 20GB of SAIX bandwidth for less than that and use it on any line speed.

I must say that nothing beats Telkom's current pricing structure.
On Do1(384k) you get: 1Gb(sometimes even 2Gb) international + 10GB local for R199.
