Sheesh!, I can help my self with PHP, SQL & Website Functionality ect ect
But I'm Not very creative when it comes to word usage and graphical designing.

I write like a little kid! (Bit embarrassed)

So I have this PHP/MySQL based website which i developed. (Notepad++ and PHPMyAdmin )
I used Power point to make the buttons :erm:

I need someone to rework the CSS layout, Images and help me with my bad Grammar :-)
Do web developers/designers in general help with content headings ect ect ?

Can someone recommend someone, I dont want to pay and arm and a leg for a personal website, shared with others for free with no banner adds or any thing like that.

+1 to Twitter Bootstrap - saved me so much time with design

Thanks
Just by quickly searching "Twitter bootstrap" , I'm totally confused on how its used , Is it like a CSS editor ?

Does it work on a windows machine ?
I downloaded a Zip file from a GIT Hub which gave me a bunch of folders and Java Script files :-)

I really dont mind paying a company to do it, i dont actually want to go through the whole learning curve of using TWT Bootstrap :-) , Thanks for the advice though , (Dont mean to be rude)

Let me try a few companies.

No, its an CSS framework. You do all the HTML coding (layouts etc) and it takes care of the styling.

Ok , I will have a look at it when i have more time.

Maybe i can just do it my self and learn something new:)
I assume it can also be used to style the layout for Mobile Phones and Tablets ?

Yeah, its responsive too. If you know CSS/HTML it will be a breeze.

+1 for twitter bootstrap as well. Very simple to use and edit. Makes and web developer's life easier.

PM me if you would like some assistance down the line. However, I doubt you would need any since it's really easy to pick up with a little time and effort.

Ok i will definitely look at it, thanks

This is the Web Site
It doesnt look nice on an ipad the textboxes overlap login block , would have been nice to make an Apple App for i devices and androids.

The site isn't bad...

It's clean so that is good. Let us know how things go.

Bootstrap has a bit of a learning curve but once you get it, its very easy to use. I personally prefer it for my websites. Just grab one the samples they have and look at how they do the html. You really don't need much for your site.

You can also look at Jquery mobile. It will make your site a mobile site but it will then work perfect across all devices. Its easier to implement than Boostrap (but still take the time to learn bootstrap).

Bootstrap is used for layout and typography, it doesn't help a crap design. The nice thing is that it is so simple, a web developer can use it

Indeed. If your UI design is bad, no framework would help.

Ok so, does this mean the UI is bad on the website ?

What will make it better ?, besides that its not responsive and updates on page refresh.

No...

I think it was just a statement about the use of frameworks cannot change a bad design. Your site design is fine for it's purpose. Simpler designs help get the message across better IMHO.

Ok Thanks. :)

The website was a Saturday having nothing to do Job, Wanted to be able to switch Lights on and off at home via the internet without having to mess with firewall port forwarding and relying on my Netgear router with Vodacom 3G dongle.

I was thinking maybe someone else would be interested, when i posed it on instructables, quite a few people took interest in it.
Everyday i get 1 or 2 users joining.

So i just want to make it a bit more Popper & Usable.

Next i want to license it under GNU, then i can make the the whole setup available online so that people can download it
and then host it them selves.

I will still change a few things here and there, the fonts are not always the same on each page, and some fields from the database shows blank when there is no one logged in.

For now i'm going to skip the framework thing.

I've built my script on bootstrap and it's pretty fast. You wont even know it's bootstrap unless you look at the css and it's fully responsive. I like it because you can hide or display stuff depending on screen size and you can be quite creative without thinking to hard.

Im not sure if I can post it here (don't want to do shameless self-promotion - yet :-D), so pm me and I'll send you a link. I'd be interested to make you something nice.
