Hi there everyone.

I just would like to know whats the difference between the the play addict package and the pro intro package:confused: They both offer the same bandwidth but the play addict is cheaper. I am currently on the G1 month to month package.

Play package is hard capped...

pro packages have the additional 64Kbps once capped

Is there any Broadband ISP which throttles you once you reach your cap?
broadband as in Iburst, Telkom DSL, Sentech, Vodacom & MTN 3g?

With iBurst packages you get:
Free delivery,
Free mailbox with 5 aliases & a 10MB limit per month
Free fax2email service
Data carryover
No out-of-bundle charges when cap is reached on Pro packages. Speeds are merely throttled.
Unrestricted VoIP
Speeds 17 times faster than dial-up

Notes:* What you can do with a 1000MB - Values are estimated and vary to content, quality, length etc.
VAT - All prices include VAT.
Stock availability - Deals are subject to stock availability.
Play packages - Users are required to top-up prior to cap being reached.
Pro packages - Users are throttled once cap is reached and will be able to top-up with Bandwidth Booster.

Delivery - Modems will be delivered within 48 working hours upon completion of application process. Express delivery will be charged for and stand alone accessory delivery will be charged at R100.
Connection - Connection is shaped.
Terms and Conditions apply - E&OE (Errors and Omissions Excepted).

Well on paper the only people that throttles you is Iburst (at 64Kbps) once you reached your cap, everyone else HARD Caps you... but there's been numerous reports that Telkom ADSL (ISP) does not HARD cap you according to a "status quo"...

So be warned if you do sign up with Telkom ADSL and you get hard capped you'll have NO right to complain...

Thats the problem, and being hard capped isn't really an option for most people. Buying extra bandwidth from Telkom afterwards isn't an option as you pay R250 for 3 Gigs :O

Thats why people go with the WebAfrica R70 top up...

I'll still rather take a solid 5GB account for R290 than mess with Telkom and have my internet cut off some time every month.
