What's the difference between the Xbox 360, Xbox 360 Elite, Xbox 360 Premium etc.

Thanks

Different size hard drives for one I know. Not sure about the rest

There's Pro, Elite and Arcade. They all play exactly the same games etc but

Pro = "default" = 20Gb Harddrive, Component HD cable, comes with a Headset
Elite = "High end" = Pro + Black, 120Gb Drive, Component and HDMI cable and HDMI audio adapter
Arcade = "Mainly offline", no HDD, (has 256Mb Memory card), no HD cable, just standard RCA's (can upgrade to a drive later) no headset.

Components are interchangeable between then and you can buy the Harddrives separately, BUT, it's definitely more cost effective to buy the one you want upfront.

whats the price of an elite, as i think i saw a 120 gb hdd at look and listen for about 1,7k.

cause the 20gb goes for 999, so buying an arcade for 1999 and then buying the hdd afterwards, almost makes it worth it buying the arcade and upgrading later

i stand to be corrected

R1700 is an awesome deal if you saw right. RRP on the Elite is R3999.

Just buy a Pro, much less hassle. And if you're prepared to pay 999 for a 20GB, then you might as well save a little more for the 120GB model (1.6k).

And remember its not only the HDD you're missing on the Arcade. HD Component cables, Xbox Live Headset and Ethernet cable are missing. So if you have Live/HDTV ambitions you're stumped.

Just my 0.02c

I agree with Maestro.

The 120Gb drive is intended for the US and EU markets where they have Live video marketplace and can download Hi definition movies (They're about 5-8Gb each). For local conditions the Pro is ideal, and that R1000 is better spent on a couple of games, and Xbox Live.

yeah, i luv my pro...

...i just had to add a 2nd controller to my setup, and now its gr8

maybe oneday i'll be able to enjoy the joys of xbox live

and then after that a nice big lcd *day dreams further*
