OK this same thread is happening in another well-known forum so I thought I'd start one here to check what's popular in SA...The choices are:

AVG
Norton
Nod32
Avast
McAffee
PCCillin
Kaspersky
F-Secure
Bitdefender

If someone can make this a poll please...
I use NOD32 by the way..

Currently using AVG anti-virus + windows firewall + Netgear router firewall for security.

Previously used Norton and McAfee but both use up so much system resources that I switched to AVG.

PCCillin Internet Security + PCCillin AntiSpyware + Firewall

Why are there so many Windoze users here!!!! I feel left out, jokes... I feel kinda happy. :) :) :)

Out of interest, how big are the updates on all the different virus progs? NOD32 is usually anything between 50 and 200KB..

Using Norton Internet Security 2006... No complaints, since my machine is powerful enough to handle it! :p

Avast's are tiny - that was one of the major reasons I switched to it in the beginning. Of course, it's also damn good.

Loathe Norton...causes all sorts of machine funnies.

AV: AVG Free Edition
Spyware: Ad-Aware SE Personal, M$ Anti-spyware
Firewall: Outpost Professional Edition.

Been using AVG for some time, no problems in over 2 years.

Have also added for the other internet nasties.
Spyware Guard
SpywareBlaster
Spyware S&D
Ad Aware SE

Hardware firewall in router.

Anti Virus ? whats that ? was a responce i once heard at a LAN guy had 28000+ infected files

Kaspersky or McAfee for AV
Comodo PF for Firewall and HIPS
Spybot for antispyware
