Or maybe he just went ape with sending pics. Pics these days can easily be 3 megs ... not to mention vids. I love whatsapp.

There is one thing I want in whatsapp, they need to change the STATUS.I mean how many people go look at someones profile on whatsapp.They can move it to show under the (last seen online bar)so it scrolls slowly by or something

Was a thread here in the Vodacom forum. His WhatsApp used around 2GB of data in one month. The WhatsApp app logged it as well.
Pretty sure not even Ockie could send that many pics.
So, not an 'official' alert, only saw this one case but better check your WhatApss status every now and then. Was likely a specific version bug.

Mine isn't working
There was a brief outage last night, it wasn't just Vodacom.
You can follow wa_status on Twitter to check on their status, but there was no mention of last night's outage.
