Hey everyone,
I'm in retail, and want start using whatsapp as a comunication way to our customers.
I already got the number and a tablet for this, but need an app or software to give automated replies, something similar to the government covid whatsapp line. This way customers can reply certain numbers to get slecific replies or info.
There is quite a few apps available, and pc software too, but how do I choose one?

Can anyone give me advice on which system to use?

I think I'll prefer something which is also installed on the tablet too, the issue I have with the pc based route, is the messages coming through on the pc the whole day, while busy with other tasks. And also it will then be "fixed" to that pc, and not "portable" to take home to edit or whatever.

Pls guide me here?

Thanks

Download and install WhatsApp Business
Already using it. But it doesnt give all the different option, example:
Reply 1 for Weekly specials
Reply 2 for month pack
Etc.

Wa business only has the welcome message feature.

I understand what OP is asking for and I’m also keen to learn.

Companies like Afrihost use this with options and sub menus

As a side. How did you install WhatsApp on a tablet. Thought it only works on phones?

He sure will reach a lot of customers that way.
Lots of businesses are now running Telegram channels to disseminate information, newsletters, etc. Perfect example is the NHSA. WA actually does not allow any business to use WABusiness if they are any way involved in hunting or shooting.

You would actually be surprised how many people use Telegram. This could be a way to get them on it more often.

Seen quite a few t.me links at the bottom of web pages of late.

Also forgot to mention https://instantview.telegram.org/ that you can do in Telegram. Ideal for short newsletters and electronic flyers. So your message looks something like this

Doesn't seem like it's that complicated to pull it off. I've played around with Chat bots for Telegram (using Botfather) and Microsoft Teams. Oh and at some time in the past a conversational chatbot using Amazon Lex.

And there is also quite a lot of IFTTT applets for Telegram like RSS, Twitter, FB, Instagram, SMS, Dropbox, Google Assistant .....
