Whatsapp calls kill my media volume

I'm not sure if this is an android question or a whatsapp question.

But each time I get a watsapp call my media... YouTube.... videos....Netflix volume on my phone turns to a whisper on the highest volume setting. I then have to restart my phone and it fixes itself.

I am using a Samsung Note 20 ultra 5g.

Anyone else have this issue....any ideas how to resolve it without restarting phone a few times a day.
 
For some reason, I can't do voice notes. I can receive them, but can't make them. Permissions are correct and microphone works in other apps. Not that I particular do a lot voice notes, but strange non the less. Samsung S21 Ultra.
 
Same issue with WhatsApp affecting volumes after calls.

Use zoom for telephony (work number) extensively which works fine (pauses media then resumes after call finishes)

WhatsApp does weird stuff - often need to crank volume all the way up

Also when connected to android auto, when listening to music on spotify and a WhatsApp call comes in, after call finishes spotify is stuck on pause.
Need to kill spotify and start play again or sometimes need to restart android auto.

WhatsApp windows desktop client also a streaming pile of ****.
Constantly freezing / slow / not downloading messages.

Seems both mobile and windows apps have gone down the shitter since MS got their grubby paws involved.

Stick to that.
 
Whatever call I am on - cellular or WhatsApp. If a WhatsApp message comes in, the volume reduces while the notification tone plays

To overcome this, I turned off notifications for WhatsApp

(iPhone SE2020)
 
Ok so there a bunch of problems and there is no solution cause whatsapp now seems like a bug in our phones
 
I usually have in headphones 90% of the time when using media
 
there is a version of android that has been known to do it ,not sure if an update fixed it ,i eventually got a new phone ,
