WhatsApp for Android gets fingerprint security

WhatsApp has announced it will roll out support for biometric authentication via fingerprint sensors for Android smartphones.

To enable this new option, users will need to navigate to Settings > Account > Privacy > Fingerprint lock. Users will then need to confirm their fingerprint within the app.

That security exploit hmmm good thing it's patched. Question is what would the user have done for it to get to the point of getting the malicious call that then completes the exploit

Been using CPL, it has a feature that allows me to lock and requests fingerprint when I open my sensitive apps, banking, Gmail, whatsapp...
