Whatsapp links not working

For android 4.0 on my HTC Desire S, the links on whatsapp don't work. My phone is not rooted, please help

When you installed 4.0 it said "warning this version is for development only, some functions may not work" or something to that effect right?

Not even sure if this is a common problem, works for me, I know apple did file a complaint about interactivity related to hyperlinks and phone numbers, they cited emails and websites, but this is apple hey, they have a patent on rectangles with round corners.

Basically they claim they they invented and patented the ability to click on a hyperlink in an email and then open a browser, you know like you do on every desktop computer and all those dumb phones way back in the day, same for phone numbers and email addresses

So basically to fix it, i gotta root it. Not a watsapp problem

not a watsapp problem no, AFAIK you should see the same problem when someone sends you a phone number via sms. Seems like it might have something to do with an Apple lawsuit.
