WhatsApp Message Scheduler?

Is there an Android app / other way that allows you to schedule WhatsApp messages to be sent at a certain time without having to root?

Google doesn't seem to know and the apps I can find on the Play Store don't seem to work / need root (and then still don't seem to work).

I'd have thought it was a fairly simple feature... Didn't realise until now (when I need it) that it wasn't possible.

I've always wanted to tinker with Tasker. Maybe now it's time to take the plunge and shell out the 44 bucks to do so...

I thought it needed root for some reason.

I know WhatsApp doesn't play nicely with third party apps in general.

Also, I was hoping for something that could let me compose a message at 06h00 but only send at 09h00 for example. On the fly. Not the same message every day kinda thing.

I think I might have been asking too much.

The solution to my issue seems to be to use a completely different messaging platform to WhatsApp
