WhatsApp picture forwarding issue

It happens quite often that when I take a photo and send it to someone via WhatsApp, it sends the photo 2 or 3 times. Anyone experience this before? This has happened on my HTC Wildfire, and now on my Samsung S3, so I think this is probably an Android issue?

I've never had that on any of my (3 different ones I've used at one time or another) Android phones. And know of nothing like this with my buddies who have S3s. So no, it's you.

Try Whatsapp Plus from XDA Developers Forum and see if the issue persists.

Well found out what caused this. I don't like a cluttered home screen, so I have a weather/clock widget on top, and at the bottom the standard Phone/Email/Messages/Camera icons. I used to access WhatsApp by long-pressing the button to bring up a list of recently accessed programs. This seems to cause the issue. I have now swopped the messages (who still uses SMS ) with the WhatsApp icon, so now I access it via the icon. No problems thus far. Weird, though.
