Whatsapp question

I am getting a new phone and want to know, is it possible to backup all conversations and transfer to a new phone?
Same phone make and everything but need to be able to see conversations that I have in new phone for work.

In whatsapp go to Settings > Chat settings > Backup Chats.

When you install Whatsapp on your new phone, you'll be able to retrieve your conversations as long as your number stays the same.

I'd rather do it the "physical file" way as it ensures you have backed up everything. I've lost some messages before using the basic built in "backup chats" function.
