Wheel alignment - how often to ?

Alignment should be checked every 10,000 km or 6 months, whichever occurs first, unless you know that you have hit a pothole, or some other object, in which case it should be done immediately as a precaution.

aaaaah yes i see what you mean there but not in intervals, only when i take the wheel off

It’s actually a bit more random due to chain stretch etc.

So need to keep an eye on it more.

Well if you are doing it along with the service....of course you don't wait for it as you wouldn't even be there.

You still have to go to twt or supaquick for the balancing and alignment... Haven't found a mechanic that can do it during a service.

Still have never waited for an alignment BTW.

Hey I’m not the one who resurrected the thread.

But yes your average private mechanic doesn’t do it (although I know of one that used to) but the big dealerships do and it’s often one of those things that get overlooked when people complain about their pricing.

Sadly I’ve almost always needed to wait at the likes of Hi-Q but mostly because I go on a Saturday. Middle of the week it’s a breeze.
