When are conveyancing fees due?

I'm in the initial stages of buying a property and was wondering when the conveyancy lawyer's fees are due? I have received a breakdown of the costs, but is it all paid at once or in stages?

All at once..

Welcome to having your bank account drained..

Conveyance fees and bond reg fees etc etc etc will all be due at roughly the same time, and in one big lump sum... You will spend R50k+ in the space of a few days.

Thanks, but do know when in the process this happens? So I have an approved mortgage, paid deposit and as far as I understand they are now waiting for the rates and taxes amount.

Pretty much any time from now really... all depends on the law clerk who is dealing with your stuff.
