When does vote counting begin?

Do we only expect to get a good picture of what is happening in the major muncipalities the next day?

I think only once all the voting stations are officially closed

I think each one starts counting as it closes. For the big metros I wouldn't expect a final number before Friday.

As others have said, counting starts after the final votes are cast, so probably 8or 9pm. Some small towns will be done counting overnight but the metros should take most of Thursday and maybe some of Friday.
