When (what time and date) does the cap reset monthly? It is now 2pm June 1st, and my cap has not yet reset. And what crap Telkom tells you when you sign the contract. What they told me is as soon as the cap is exceeded, your speed will be downgraded to 64kbps and that local sites would be unaffected. I cant even access google.com and not even half of the sites listed in the SA directory on Ananzi.co.za which have co.za suffixes.

it should reset at 00:01 on the 1st day of the month. Mine has(telkom 3gb)

Promojo - Have you tried to reset your ADSL modem to update your usage stats?

I disconnected at 23:55 and reconnected at 00:01 this morning and was still in the capped IP range. I tried again at 01:00 with the same result.

When I woke up this morning at 06:00 it put me back in the uncapped range.

Thanks for replies guys, the thing is I got my ADSL account on the 27th of May, and somehow my brother managed to depleat our cap of 3gig by yesterday afternoon. We have been capped since then. But now we are still capped (because I cant even access google, and can only access some SA sites). On the Telkom usage page it says my May usage was 3.6 gig and that my June usage is 0gig, but still I am capped. By the way, I have since we were capped disconnect and even turned off my computer, but still I am capped when I try to reconnect

Maybe because I am a new subscriber and put last in the line...lol.. By the way, it is obviously a computer that resets it automatically? I would not be surprised if Telkom uses some **** who manually resets everything, and that he propably went on strike...

Thanks Franna, I successfully reset the modem by switching it off, after I made the mistake of pressing the reset button. I temporarily stuffed my whole connection but dialled the tech guy to help me. Seems like my cap is back and seset now.
