When Eskom load-shedding will stop

Lol at Gordhan "asking" senior managers to cancel their leave. Wtf? One of the job responsibilities of senior managers is to deal with crises such as this!

Crazy stuff right here.

I actually think in the first sentence he is right. Gordhan is lying with his propaganda. Eskom's problems cannot and will not be fixed.

But, that second sentence, about all South Africans causing the problem, now that is typical ANC denial and pushing the blame away from themselves.

Eskom's problems are easy to fix. There is nothing complex about them at all, but require some bold decisions to be made and somebody bold enough to make them.

https://www.timeslive.co.za/news/so...me-for-power-cuts-says-eskom-chairman-mabuza/

All South Africans are responsible for power cuts, and it is a pain that the entire country has to bear.

So says Eskom chairman Jabu Mabuza.

"Either through our people or our government… but these are problems that we have all caused. There is a role that we all have to play; shareholders, providers of capital, staff, customers. This the choice of pain we need to take to going forward to try and put us back in a sustainable way," Mabuza said.

And this is the Eskom Chairman ?

All South Africans are responsible for power cuts, and it is a pain that the entire country has to bear.

Farkoff you swine, you and the current muppets calling themselves government are to blame

It's all very well telling us what's wrong, we know what wrong and it starts with uppercase A and ends in uppercase C. Instead, tell us what the hell is going to be done to fix things. Taking Zuma, his thug henchmen and the entire Gupta family outside and summarily executing them all is a promising start.

All senior managers at Eskom have been asked to cancel their leave and personally visit power stations to see what the state of affairs is.

All fluff and pr bs... just costing us more in double pay/overtime or whatever for not taking leave.
They've had all year to do their jobs, what they going to do now? Pedal?

So, it is all about the money.

This loadshedding is nothing other than blackmail and sabotaging the economy under the guise "You all are the reason for Eskoms' problems'. If the money does not come Eskom will keep the lights off and businesses closed.

Well done Cyril and Gordhan! You have stooped to a new low!

Wonder what happened to all the capacity that the Google sun farm and all the wind farms has added to the network?

Chairman and rest of board weren’t happy at presser. Gordhan must’ve crapped all over them. The behind the scenes meeting could not have been pleasant. Gordhan has street cred, fought offf/still fighting Zuma now EFF. He appointed this board and must be pissed that he has to deal with the “crisis “.

Most important statement from yesterday:

Consequence management must also be implemented.

This would’ve caused beads of sweat rolling down many of Eskom’s management. It must surely also apply to the Chairman and CEO. Once they commit it has to happen — why the current board didn’t do what Gordhan stated?

I don’t think there will be anymore loadshedding beyond this weekend. Viva consequence management!

Two executives at Megawatt Park said the load-shedding could have been averted if Eskom chief executive Phakamani Hadebe had heeded internal advice not to defer maintenance.

They said this was not the first time his ignoring of advice had led to a crisis.

The other example, they said, was the disastrous handling of negotiations with labour early this year, which resulted in workers downing tools and acts of sabotage, including torching and damaging plants.
