So did an upgrade @Vodacom on 24/04 and at no time was I told by sales consultant that it would not be active immediately, got home and try to use phone - no services, so I call the call centre to be told I have to wait until 01/05 for the new price-plan to become active. Fast forward to the morning of the 1st, and still no services, so down to the local vodastore I go, to be told they don't know why and they will look into it - which may take up to 24 business days. WTF!

Posted to twitter and hellopeter, no response on twitter, and a generic, sorry mr customer we will look into it.

Good news (Not really). This morning I get an SMS telling me (well actually not me, they spelled my name wrong, can't blame them really, I have only been a customer for just over 10 years) that "My" migration request will be processed on the 31/5

Subsequently been told by "CRM manager" there is nothing anyone can do...

Where to next?

Back to the store that did the upgrade.
Go at 4:30pm and don't leave until they fix it.
Worked for me.

I remember one of my relatives waiting 21 days for the number to be active again after an accidental late payment due to bank errors, Oh and the late payment caused the promo contract of R89 a month to be reverted back to R135 a month just because of a late payment. The 21 day waiting period was because of an employee who did not do his job and failed to submit the proper documents for the reactivation.

Please read your contracts.

I was prepared to wait until the 1/5 (still think they should be obliged to point out to the client the actual activation date) but now because of their stuff up I am expected to wait until the 1/6.
